Working together

A major factor which is critical to the success of effectively responding to terrorist incidents at public spaces using a drone is the collaborative approach of all first responder agencies.

It must now be recognised that no single agency can keep their communities safe from the complexity of the contemporary terrorist threat from drones  – first responder agencies and public authorities are stronger when they work together.

Collaboration, Cooperation & Coordination

First-responder agencies and public authorities who have a designated role and responsibility for ensuring safety and security at public places must develop joint operating practices. This requires them to:

  • Gather (and share) information and intelligence on terrorist drone threats
  • Assess risks and develop a working. Strategy to counter terrorist drone threats
  • Consider policies and procedures
  • Identify options and contingencies
  • Take action and review what happened
