Types of Drones

Drone platforms have two main types: 

  • rotor, including single-rotor or multi-rotor (such as   tricopters, quadcopters, hexacopters and octocoptors), as well as
  • fixed-wing, which include the hybrid VTOL (vertical takeoff and landing) drones that don’t require runways.
